Eli

Since beginning our blog, I have yet to post anything. So, I have decided to make my first about a few stories with Eli. Blake will get his turn, but for now, let me share a few random, sometimes embarrassing stories about Eli. Last Saturday I went to Hallmark with Blake and Eli to pick out Charla a card for Mother's Day. In just seven minutes, Eli had managed to knock over an entire display full of ceramic pieces that echoed throughout the store and displace 50% of all cards in the store. Just prior to that, I ran into one of our neighbors. Still within the seven minutes, as I began speaking with her I heard a soft voice say "tender shot" as he punched me square in the manhood mid-sentence. All I could get out while responding to her question was UUUGHHHH..... I can almost count on my hand how many times I have been embarrassed in my life. This happens to be one of them....

In just one more story for now, Eli loves to get the last word in. HE IS JUST LIKE HIS MOTHER! I love them both and there is no doubt he gets it honestly. Thursday I bought some chips and salsa from a restaurant. Eli killed the chips and mild salsa before I stopped him from opening the hot salsa. He would not stop whining as I kept trying to explain why he could not have it and that it was hot. I finally gave in and let him lick a chip with hot salsa on it. He instantly started crying and hollering at me telling me "It's hot daddy" over and over. I gave him water, milk, and he kept telling me it was hot. Once he finally settled in I asked him if he was ok. He told me "You Mean" as I explained that Daddy told him it was hot and he wouldn't listen. When I turned my back I heard "You poopy head". This is not the first time me or Charla have been called that and it will undoubtedly not be the last. He will always tell you what is on his mind. I love that about him. I actually could go on for some time with these types of stories but I'll save it for later posts.

I love those stories. Jason and I are sitting here laughing hysterically. The pictures are so cute and I love the "action shot" of Blake playing soccer. Great camera. Keep them coming. Love, Grammy :-)
